Warning
GeneralWe are unable to provide water at Moon Lake Campground, Moon Lake Group Site and the Moon Lake Guard Station for the 2026 season. Due to debris flow damage during the summer of 2023, we are installing a new water system to replace the infrastructure that was damaged. This project is currently underway, but we do not expect it to be completed this season. We apologize for any inconvenience and please reach out if you have any questions.

We were heartbroken to see the damage from last year’s fires. Thank goodness it did not hit the campground. The hosts were awesome and the campground was spotless. We will be back.

What a beautiful view from this campground. The double campsite tent pad was large enough to fit a large tent and a smaller tent. It would have been nice to have two separate tent pads, but we made it work.

Loved the campground and the proximity to the lake. We had a great time in three separate tent camps as a family

The camp ground was closed and evacuated because of fires. When will we get a refund?

I was not able to get to the campground because of a fire. I requested a refund and haven't heard anything.

I am hesitant to write a review because I don't want to share this little gem with anyone! We love Moon Lake. Since discovering it 4 years ago we've been back every summer. Each year has been great! One of the best parts is no cell service! You can truly unplug and enjoy nature. The hummingbirds are also a favorite for my family. See you in 2021!

Camp host Shar was A++++*. She kept the restrooms exceptional and always stopped to check on us. Everyone respected quiet time.
It may need to be considered at having side by sides banned from the beach as the sand is torn up by the boat ramp.
