What Guests Are Saying
Moon Lake Campground is praised for its beautiful scenery, spacious sites, and friendly staff, making it a great spot for outdoor activities and relaxation. However, it has faced ongoing issues with its water supply, resulting in no running water and reliance on porta potties, which some found to be poorly maintained. Visitors recommend checking for events at nearby facilities to avoid noise disturbances and suggest that improvements are needed for the campground to reach its full potential.

While the fact that it rained the entire time wasn't their fault, there was still a lot of dirt build up around the RV pad, which made the water puddle considerably around the whole camper. Hopefully, the road down to the lake will get fixed soon as well. Overall, we had a great time as always!

Tent sites are tiny. Would not camp there again. Reserve a trailer site instead. Beautiful location.

Moon Lake is a beautiful location. We stayed at the campground which is clean and appealing. The surrounding area has been marred by the fires in 2020, however. The restrooms are kept clean. There are numerous humming birds and a deer walked through our camp one day. We rented a boat and spent time on the lake fishing. The fishing was good. We plan to return next year.

Weather was perfect at the end of June. Very few bugs. The campground looks amazing with all the new growth. Sad to see the burned trees around the mountain, but the fire crew did an amazing job keeping the fire away from the campground.

Super easy process of booking and coming to camp in a beautiful place! The bathrooms were immaculate and well-cared for, there was lots of presence of state officials, there were zero issues with any campers and it was overall an excellent experience for my family. One of our fave spots!
