What Guests Are Saying
St. Charles Campground offers a beautiful and serene environment, with clean and well-maintained sites and the soothing sound of the nearby creek. The camp host takes pride in maintaining a safe atmosphere, and the group campsite is highly praised. However, some facilities, like the bathrooms and fire rings, show signs of neglect and could use improvement.

We love the beauty of this camp ground. The sites were clean and well maintained. Having the sound of St Charles Creek to lull us to sleep was amazing. The host this year was amazing and took great pride in maintaining a safe and clean environment. The maintenance crew were in fixing tables and benches.

Campground is run down. Fire rings look a hundred years old. Bathrooms are in bad shape. Broken down doors, toilets etc. been this way for years. Camp host was hardly seen.

The group campsite was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again. There was mention of cows actually in the camp. There are definitely cows roaming free near the campground but not actually in the camping area. It seems that there has been work done with fencing and grates to ensure they do not come into camp. Beautiful area and the camp was well maintained.

Quite little camp ground. Love sleeping next to the creek running next to the camp sites.

We had fun except for the cows all around. They were walking thru our camp in the mornings mooing right next to us and pooping in the camp. They were mooing at night, throughout the night and in the morning. I would have enjoyed my time more with better sleep.

We had the group area and had plenty of space for all 18 of us. The kids enjoyed the open area for playing games. We hope to have it again next year.

We love this little gem tucked away up St Charles Canyon, ID. We have been staying in the camp ground every July for the last 8 years. The staff are so attentive when needed. We had an issue this year and 1 phone call and they had all matters resolved that day. We will definitely be back. Sandra was exceptional in helping us. Thank you.

The campground is wonderful we would definitely stay here again. Beautiful area, close to the caves and the lake. Only complaint is the bathrooms. There were wasp nests everywhere in the bathrooms as wasps swarming all over. Luckily they didn’t bother anyone but it was scary for some of the kids. Only one stall was working and they weren’t very clean.
