The campground is beautiful and one of our favorites, but it is being overrun with cattle. We literally shared our campsite with the cows last week! At first the kids thought they were interesting, but it got old fast because we could not leave our wives and children unattended who were afraid of them. The cows were not shy and loved to nose around and get into our food. They would stand in front of the bathroom and block the entrance. One morning about 6 ran hard through our camp and my daughter and her baby ran into the river for fear of being trampled. They bring with them lots of flys, are loud bellowers, and left big cow pies everywhere. I would guess there were about a hundred wandering over the whole campground and trails. We took lots of pictures with them. One even went nose to nose with our one year old standing in his pack and play. So if you don't mind camping with the cows, the campground itself is really great! But until the cow problem is resolved, we will find other campgrounds.

We always enjoy our visits to Willow Flat but this year the cows were terrible. Cows were in the campground every day, sometimes several times a day and we had to chase them away from our sites. Not only are cows destructive to tents and trailers but the fresh cow pies are very bad also. The camp host said they had contacted the range rider to take care of the problem but I guess that did not work. They use to have cattle guards at the entrances to the campground and a few years ago they took them out and that was really a stupid thing to do.

It was hard for me not to give five stars. We have been coming camping here for our Family reunion the same week in August every year. This is the first year that I can remember having cows in the camp site area. We had to "herd" them away a few times and then they had left their poop behind for us to move off of trails and away from our camp. That however is my only complaint. Willow Flats is an awesome place to go camping. There is so much to do.

It was a lot of fun and very clean! The camp hosts were very helpful and friendly and they made sure the bathrooms were cleaned everyday.

The site was rated for 30ft trailer. We had to pay for another site once we got there because it wouldn’t have fit. The weekend was fun but thankfully there was another spot open. The first come first serve sites are far more accommodating for trailers.
