We love Willow Flat campground and have been coming annually for several years. This year the camp host called the forest rangers to investigate if I had cut down a live tree for our camp firewood. I showed the rangers the stump of the dead tree that I had cut down and they were not pleased that their time had been wasted. The camp host never spoke to me personally before making the call to the Forest service. It put a damper on our trip but I will say the camp was clean as well as the toilets. The camp hosts should have talked to me if they thought I had cut down a live tree. The whole situation could have been resolved quickly.

-Bathrooms are clean
-Trails are fun and well maintained, especially the primary trail to the spring

-Water sources are high pressured
-ATVs/UTVs are slow on main paths with sites
CON:
-Campsites were a bit overgrown with vegetation this time (fine during our first trip)

Too many vehicles driving back and forth. At times the road was a traffic jam. The hiking trail to the head waters was great. Wish there were more of them.

We love to come to the cub river and camp every year! The fishing is phenomenal! However, lately it's been getting run down due to cows and missing some bridges over the stream. If they could keep out the cows and replace the missing bridges, everything would be great again!
