What Guests Are Saying

Greendale Campground Group Site 1 is a great spot for group activities, featuring ample trees, shade, picnic tables, and helpful campground hosts. While there were issues with the water supply and some maintenance concerns, the overall setting is beautiful, private, and peaceful. With improved communication and maintenance, it could be an even better destination for campers.

Small campground, generally deteriorated condition, especially the vault toilets. Single water spigot didn't work. Noisy until late at night from trucks climbing the steep road. Okay if you just need a spot to sleep for the night, and are self-contained.

Water system was out of service. That was inconvenient. Camp was great, scenery beautiful. Service from campground host was good despite the water system problem.

Public review:

We stayed at Greendale Campground Group Site 1 for a youth group camp, and the site itself worked really well for us. There were plenty of trees, good shade, lots of parking, and a good number of picnic tables, which made it easy to organize meals and group activities. The campground hosts were also very kind and helpful.

The biggest downside was that there was no working water at the site due to a water line issue. We were directed to another water source down the road, but after letting it run for several minutes, it never ran clear. We ended up going to the gas station down the road and paying to use their water hose. I understand that water line problems happen, but advance notice would have helped us prepare better.

A few maintenance items also needed attention, including broken toilet locks and an overly full dumpster. Overall, the group site itself was excellent, and with better communication about water issues and a little more maintenance attention, it would be an easy site to recommend.
