{"text"=>"USFS cabins and lookouts are not comparable to commercial for profit rentals. You are relying on previous renters to clean the cabin before you arrive which sometimes does not happen. Our star review is based upon a rustic cabin experience and some cabins have electricity, propane or just a wood stove. A 5 star for a USFS cabin or lookout could equal a 2 or 3 star review to a regular for profit cabin.\n\nSuper location.\n\nThe original cabin got burned down due to careless renters in 2011. They opened a temporary yurt until construction on the new cabin was done in June 2018 and then removed the yurt. As it is only a 3 year old cabin it is VERY nice!\n\nAbout 10 miles on gravel roads north of Escalante easily reached by car seasonally.\n\nNice size porch.\n\n2 room cabin. 3 sets of bunk beds in bedroom and in the main room you get a couch, table and chairs, Kitchen Queen wood cook stove with oven, propane cook stove and sink that drains with seasonal running cold water.\n\nNice vault pit toilet.\n\nCreek nearby.\n\nLocked gate for privacy although gravel road passes nearby to the cabin.\n\nAll kinds of hiking trails and roads to explore nearby. Some lakes too. Locally famous Devil's Backbone road.\n\nIn the back of the garage they had started a separate room to put in a toilet and shower but stopped. It has been unfinished for a few years now. Not sure why they changed their minds but there wasn't that much more work to be done. Perhaps the availability of water and maintenance came into play.\n\nThis is probably our favorite USFS cabin.", "languageCode"=>"en"}
