What Guests Are Saying
Guests love the Indian Creek Guard Station for its enjoyable accommodations and proximity to the reservoir, making it a great family getaway. However, they find the 14-day reservation requirement challenging, wishing for a shorter booking period to increase accessibility. Additionally, the access road is rough, so a higher clearance vehicle is recommended.

We enjoy the cabin very much. I wish reservations could be made for 1-week at a time rather than 14-days to give more people the opportunity to go to the cabin. It feels very hard to get a reservation even if you are logged in at 7:59 with your credit card entered and press send at 8:00. I did not get the reservation multiple times and then it was often a two week reservation wait to try again. We love going to Indian Creek Guard Station!

We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the accommodations. It was nice to be so close to the reservoir. The cabin was a great place for our family to spend time together. Even with an infant.
The road into the guard station from Manti was a lot rougher than we thought it would be. I’d recommend a higher clearance vehicle. Just something to be aware of if you’re planning a trip.

We had a very nice experience staying at Indian Creek Guard Station. The solar charging system was restored to fully functionality the second day of our stay and worked flawlessly for the entirety of our stay. We had plenty of water, including hot water for showering and cleaning. Cooking utensils were at a minimum so I would suggest you bring your own. We rode our SxS into Ephraim one day for lunch and supplies. The ride was an easy one with a good road the majority of the way. This was our second trip to the area. We stayed at the Orange-Olsen Guard Station on our first trip. We found both facilities more than accommodating. At 9400 feet the night time temps were very comfortable.

After staying in several other guard stations we decided to try out Indian Creek. Amenities and price are wonderful. Propane lights, stove, hot water, flush toilet and shower. The running water was a game changer since none of the others we stayed have had that. There is no wood burning stove inside the cabin. We gathered firewood on our way to the station as to not bring wood from other locations (per the sites requirements).
Now why the poor rating. About 100' away is the USFS\DNR \Camp Host staying in his camper trailer, which is no big deal. What was a big deal is that he runs his generator from around 4:00pm to 9:00pm and then starts it at 6:00 am and runs until 8:00am. And the type of generator is not a Honda\Yamaha EU silent type. It is a cheap VERY loud unit.

Back to the forest, to camp and fish. My peace of mind and attitude adjustment time is spent here, always ready to spend time staying at this cabin. No fancy hotel room or room service, few luxuries, friends communicate with each other, without cell phones, best of times.

This place is a dream. Beautiful views and peaceful respite. The cabin has a bathroom with a shower and flush toilet. There is a twin bunkbed set and a bunkbed set with a twin and a full. The cabin sleeps 5 in beds, but there is plenty of room on the floor for a few air mattresses. There is electricity in the cabin. There is a gas oven/range in the kitchen and no refrigerator, plan to use a cooler. There are limited cooking supplies. At check out it is your responsibility to clean the cabin, including mopping the floors. Be aware that there is no reception and no wifi.. Outside the cabin is a view of the lake. There is room for at least 3 tents, and there is a small outhouse close by. There is a picnic table and a fire pit. A beautiful and comfortable spot. It's the best of both worlds, comforts in the cabin and camping outside. Highly recommend.

After a rainy, muddy but beautiful 3 hour 50 mile drive from Fairview to Ferron Reservoir We were glad to have such a nice, clean, with HOT shower, toilet and lights - place to stay. The wildflowers were beautiful, the fishing GREAT ( My husband caught a brookie) - We will definitely be back and bring our kids (bunk beds to sleep 5) now that we know that the cabin is awesome

ANOTHER GREAT STAY, ALITTLE COLD, AND A FIRST FOR ME AFTER 35 YEARS OF CAMPING IN THE FERRON VALLEY, DRIVING IN A SNOW STORM, WITH NEW VISITORS, WHO WERE A BIT ON THE EDGE OF THEIR SEATS, ARRIVED AT THE CABIN, TEMPERATURE WAS 38 DEGREES AND TWO INCHES OF SNOW, NEW VISITORS FIRST FISHING TRIP. HAD A GREAT TIME, CABIN WAS COMFORTABLE, I THINK THE NEW VISITORS WILL BE A YEARLY RESIDENT. I FEEL GREAT KNOWING THAT I INTRODUCED THESE VISITORS TO THE GREAT EXPERIENCE OF CAMPING AND FISHING IN THIS AREA.

Solar power was out, no one was able to make repairs. Hopefully this year,2020, cabin will have this problem resolved. Tough to prepare dinner in dark.
