What Guests Are Saying
Joe's Valley Reservoir is praised for its beautiful campground, offering a variety of well-maintained sites with great views, ample shade, and easy access to outdoor activities like fishing, hiking, and ATV riding. Most campers enjoyed clean restrooms and appreciated the friendly camp host. However, some noted issues such as uncleaned toilets attracting flies, noise from nearby off-road vehicles, and misleading campsite descriptions, particularly regarding double sites. Overall, many expressed a desire to return.

Great experience. Joes Valley is spectacular. The dwelling and cabin rentals we used were great. The atv trails are amazing. The fishing at grassy lake was incredible. I cannot wait to visit again.

Despite being really beautiful and having the place pretty much all to ourselves, our experience was not fantastic. Both nights that we actually stayed here the chipmunks found a way into our closed, locked vehicle, ate our food, and pooped everywhere. In the 16 years that I have been camping (all over the US) I have never seen this. There was also a fair amount of trash throughout the campground. There was no access to the reservoir. Google maps and apple maps both say the campground is permanently closed and encourage you to route to the free BLM land camping that is a decent drive away. At least a half hour drive from cell service if you need it as well.

The campground was very nice and we had a great view. It’s really too bad the water was down so low and no campfires. We will be going back there next year and hope things get back to normal.
