What Guests Are Saying
Joe's Valley Reservoir is praised for its beautiful campground, offering a variety of well-maintained sites with great views, ample shade, and easy access to outdoor activities like fishing, hiking, and ATV riding. Most campers enjoyed clean restrooms and appreciated the friendly camp host. However, some noted issues such as uncleaned toilets attracting flies, noise from nearby off-road vehicles, and misleading campsite descriptions, particularly regarding double sites. Overall, many expressed a desire to return.

We loved our stay. The campground is well laid out and the camp host went out of his way to make sure we had the perfect stay. The trails in Upper Joe's Valley are great for wheeling and paddle boarding on the reservoir made for a great holiday weekend. Can't wait to visit again.

My campsite (#23) was well-maintained, had a decent amount of shade most of the day, and a pretty view of the lake, partially obstructed by trees. The pit toilets were clean and odor-free. The path to the water is a bit of a hike, but do-able, even with an inflated SUP. The only downside (as expected from past reviews) was the atv and go-cart noise. This is definitely NOT a campground you go to for piece and quiet. Quiet hours are not enforced and you're welcome to run your generator all night if you want to. I'll definitely come back, because the campground and reservoir are lovely, but it will be just before the campground is closed for the season or right after its opened. The grade schoolers in go-carts need to be back in school.

Beware of Site 25. The campground is great. The views of the lake are gorgeous, and the majority of the camp sites are fantastic. HOWEVER, site number 25 is absolutely NOT a double site. I do my research when booking to be sure that my 25 ft. trailer will fit in a site, so I knew going in that this was garbage to be listed as a double, as I could see in photos on line that there was a single parking spot. I want people to be aware in case they actually do have to RV's or large campers there is no way possible that this should be listed as a double, and if someone booked it that way intentionally they'd be screwed when they arrived. There are plenty of double sites in the campground that work better.
