What Guests Are Saying
Willow Lake offers a lovely campsite with new fire pits and picnic tables, and the bathrooms are clean and well-stocked. Visitors enjoyed having the campground to themselves, despite the lake being low. However, it may not be ideal for tent camping, as it's better suited for camp trailers.

Always a great place for a big family get together. Only problem this year was that due to the heavy winter snows and late Spring the Lake had not yet been planted with fish. But we love the location.

It was very nice and secluded. We really enjoyed the campground and had fun fishing, though we did not have any luck.

The area was beautiful! It appeared as though there had been a fire in the last few years so there was an abundance of new plants and flowers, The lake was gorgeous and very clear! Can't wait to go back!

I stayed here 5 nights in a small camper trailer. It has a nice view and is a very peaceful, quiet setting.

What a beautiful, secluded location! It's a small, well-maintained campground that you get to by dirt road, which wasn't bad to drive on even in our Honda Odyssey. We reserved site numbers 5 and 7 and 7 seems to be the only one without a picnic table and not as flat of a spot for a tent. We had a good time though and the lake was beautiful! It was also nice to have stacks of firewood ready to burn next to each fire pit. I would come here again!

This is a beautiful place and the lake is lovely. However, after a nearly an hour drive on the narrow 20 mile dirt road, the one outhouse had not been stocked with toilet paper. Luckily we brought our own. But, we camped all weekend and the outhouse remained unstocked despite the posted schedule listing Fridays as cleaning/stocking days. No camp host or Forest Service rep came. Also, the site we reserved had no picnic table, nor did the neighboring site. This also despite listing picnic tables on Recreation.gov as an amenity at all sites. We traveled a long way to get there. It's disappointing to plan a family camping trip when the campground and sites are neglected. But, again, the lake is wonderful.

Not maintained to justify fee. No flat areas and a lot of weeds. Just made the best of it.

Clean n nice n reclusive, less crowded. Camping sites are adequate.
Government needs to page the roads for safety of people going up there

My family and I had a wonderful time over four days at Willow Lake Campground! The fishing was awesome and it was very peaceful. The only reason I didn’t give all 5 stars was because of the picnic table situation. I had read a review before booking our campsite #3 that had mentioned that #7 had no table. I didn’t realize that almost half of the sites had no table. I would still get #3 again, but I’d bring a table to cook and serve food on. The sites that do NOT have tables are #’s 2, 3, 7, 10, and 11.

Campsite 3 was very cute. Nestled in the trees providing our tent with shade all day. Very close to the lake. Seemed like a ranger checked in everyday and the toilet was cleaned while we were here. We brought toilet paper and I’m glad we did because there was a few hours before the ranger came to clean it that there was none. Another tip is that the bugs here are no joke. Flies everywhere! And mosquitoes! Worse than I’ve seen before. So bring bug spray. Also campsite 2 and 3 don’t have a picnic table. And the dirt road drive up to the site took our Kia soul almost 2 hours to get through. Took the back loop on the way home into Ferron and the dirt road was significantly better and a shorter distance till paved road.
