What Guests Are Saying
Sunrise Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained site, praised for its spacious campsites and proximity to Bear Lake. Campers appreciate the friendly and helpful campground host, clean facilities, and enjoyable natural surroundings. However, some negative experiences include issues with reservations and a lack of water hookups, as well as occasional spotty cellular service.

We like this campground. The spots are roomy and camp host is easy to work with. Of course we like that it is close to Bear Lake too.

Very nice site with good proximity to a bathroom (very clean). The only issue was that another patron ran his generator until after 10pm (he turned it off after I asked him, but then also turned it on again at 6am).

We had the best time at Sunrise campground this year! We were there from July 1st through July 5th and wish we could have stayed longer. The bathrooms were clean and our camp hosts, the Crosby's, were the best camp hosts we have ever had (and we camp a lot)! They were more than helpful and so friendly. They truly cared that we were enjoying ourselves. We wish they were our camp hosts every year at Sunrise campground!

Camping here is a family tradition. The campground in 10 minutes from Bear Lake, yet you are camping in the pines. Great place.

If you have a medium to large camper this isn't the place to stay. Parking your camper is extremely difficult.
If you're looking for quiet, then this isn't the place. Other guests just run a muck as well, they do not abide by the rules

This campground is perfect if you love camping, but want to play at the lake or go hiking. The sites were clean and the facilities were clean. We enjoyed our stay.

When we got there, someone had made their own “saved” sign and decided to stay an extra day in our reserved spot. I called the forest service number that was on my confirmation email and was told that they don’t services that camp ground, only the one next to it. So they transferred me to someone else. That rep told me that the host covering our camp site hadn’t been doing his job so they had to fire him and they had no one to cover the area to help us deal with the situation. She told us they were booked with no available camp spots and nothing they could do to help. I had two vehicles, a trailer, and 5 kids that were anxious after driving from out of state to come camping at Bear Lake and now no where to camp. The rep on the phone was rude and offered no apology or solution. She just kept saying “yeah that camp host was terrible.” We ended up just taking the camp host site (without telling her) since no camp grounds around had any vacancy. But then, people would stop at our camp spot and we’d have to explain that we weren’t the host and couldn’t fix their complaints. It was a poor experience and I’ll never make a reservation at that camp ground again.

This is truly a magical location campground! Gorgeous and quiet! Loved the location to Bear Lake and amazing Logan Canyon. Campground sites are big too!
