The campground was beautiful and the host was very nice. Our trailer was too big so we didn’t end out staying there but did visit our friends there. When the limit of the site is 30’ i would say it is both the vehicle and trailer. The roads are very narrow, trees are tight up to the road, so if you stay here make sure your equipment (vehicle or vehicle+trailer) is under 30’ or whatever the site says.

Great campsites with lots of Shade. Terry the camp host was great to work with and helped us with some extra cars and parking needs.

We love Sunrise campground. It has large spaces with plenty of space for kids to enjoy. It is also close enough to enjoy Bear Lake and Shakes at Garden City as often as you like. The camp host was great to keep things maintained and we just had a good time.

It was dry camping but very private campsites with lots of big trees. Vault toilets were clean.

1

Nice campground for cars and tent campers. Terrible for RV’s, even mid size ones. Narrow roads with curbs and very tight parking at the sites. Some sites are angled the wrong way.

Our campsite was not big enough for our trailer. When we arrived, we tried to manuever our camper in the small curved site (site number 2). After realizing we could not fit it in, we asked the host, who happened to not be any help at all. It was late and the only option was the KOA. We ended up there. We tried to contact Recreation to get a refund for the unused days. Unfortunately we were never able to do this. We ended up spending money on the 4 days we were reserved but did not stay there. Horrible experience.

Our visit to Sunrise Campground was generally wonderful. The campground and toilets were clean and well taken care off. The campground host (Terry) was great! He was fun, helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and always had a good answer to our questions and concerns.

We did have two negatives or concerns:

1) The campground roads are atrocious. They are in need immediate and substantial repair. We have been coming to this campground every year since 1963 for an annual family reunion (65 people this year). The road has gotten worse every year. I have heard that there have been no repairs since was originally installed some 60+ years age. Please fix it.

2) The restroom (pit toilet) near campsite # 10 has a placard indicating that it is "handicapped accessible". It is not! There is a 5-6 inch drop from the cement pad at the toilet level and the asphalt approach to that cement pad. Our son is a quadriplegic and is confined to a 350 lb. wheel chair. There is no way we could get him up on the cement pad and the toilet level. THIS IS A DIRECT VIOLATION OF FEDERAL REGULATION AS ESTABLISHED BY THE "AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT." Action must be taken immediately to comply with this Federal Law - especially because it is on federal property. Please take immediate steps to remedy this problem.
Thank You
