We camp in this campground frequently and have always had a great time. This time we were in a site that was basically the water runoff for the whole campground loop, and it rained a LOT. No good. We ended up leaving a day early. Seriously, the water runoff through our site this time was totally crazy. We had mud everywhere. I won’t go to site 15 ever again.

Enjoyed the campground my site was 21 friends were in 23. Our 24 ft tongue pull with 1 slide fit nicely their 34 ft 5th wheel with 3 slides was snug but fit and worked out. I apperciated the paved roads during the rains but the asphalt curbing around everything posed some challanges when maneuvering. The areas around the fire rings and picnic tables were understandbly muddy. Garden City was about 6 mi Logan 35 mi. The proximity to hwy 89 was convient but you would also hear some road traffic specifically large truck engine breaks and some hot rods.

We had a wonderful time. Mid Sept. was perfect, good weather, not to cold, and we had a cow moose and her calf walk right through our campsite. What a thrill.
We will go there again sometime for sure.

Super friendly camp host Bill. The whole place was very clean. Our space was clean and clear of clutter. The camp itself was very quiet. There is a little highway noice if you are tenting. The surrounding mountains and area were beautiful. Definately stay again if in the area.

Well, kept Campground. Beautiful views of Bear Lake on a short trail from the campground. The campground host keeps the bathrooms, immaculate and is very welcoming.

It had been years since we camped at Sunrise and we were surprised how bad the roads were in the campground. It is such a beautiful spot to let deteriorate so much. I hope it is on some repair list.

Getting There
From Logan, Utah, take Highway 89 east for 31 mi, then turn south onto FR102. Follow for .6 mi to campground. Sunrise is one mile west of Bear Lake Summit and 6 mi west of Garden City, Utah.

General
- This Campground is in Bear Country Always store food and trash securely to avoid attracting wildlife -Failure to comply may result in fines up to $5,000, removal from your campsite and/or imprisonment Remember, a fed bear is a dead bear; your actions can save lives
- This is a 'pack it in, pack it out' facility; bring trash bags
- Dogs or Domestic Pets Owners must -Control the dog by a leash not to exceed six feet (6’) at all times -Clean up dog feces immediately -Limit two dogs per campsite Do not allow dogs to -Rush, threaten, or attack people/animals -Obstruct or interfere with people, vehicles, or property -Cause damage to vegetation, habitat, or harass wildlife
- Gates open at 7am, Gates close at 10pm; No generators after 10pm; Camping is allowed only within the designated space provided. Do not go beyond the boundaries of your site; Max occupancy is 8 people per single site; Horses/Off-road vehicles are prohibited in the campground; Leave No Trace; Put all trash in dumpsters, when provided, or properly stored in your vehicle or bear box; Remove all personal property and trash when leaving; Unclean campsites will be reported to the District Ranger LEO; Cleaning fish, animals, or bathing where drinking water is supplied is strictly prohibited; Fireworks or other explosives are prohibited. Discharging of a firearm in the campground is not allowed; No fighting or boisterous behavior. Be courteous to your fellow visitor. Keep noise at a reasonable level; No amplified music is allowed in USDA Forest Service campgrounds and facilities; Max Vehicle Length includes tow vehicle
- There is a 2-night minimum stay on weekends; 3-night minimum stay on holiday weekends
- Trailers/Campers and RVs: Come with water tank filled. Hooking up to spigots or the power in the restrooms, even for medical devices is strictly prohibited
- First Come First Served (FF) sites For reservable sites, reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance You must claim a FF site in person on the day you wish to check-in A site listed as FF does not guarantee availability, Recreation.gov does not update FF occupancy The only way to know if an FF site is available is to arrive at the campground on the day you plan to check-in Availability cannot be predicted Many sites are in remote locations, we cannot contact camp hosts about availability Recommended arrival times vary by day. Weekends and holidays typically fill more quickly To claim an FF site, you must be present, occupy the site, and pay at that time There is no waiting list for FF sites
- Extra Vehicle -$10 per vehicle, per day (paid on-site cash/check) Firewood -$9
- If you booked at a discount without a Senior or Access pass, you'll need to pay the difference in cash/check upon arrival. Only Senior or Access passes qualify for discounts and proof of ownership upon arrival is required
- Cancellations within 24 hours prior to arrival date will forfeit the entire use fee and a $10 cancellation fee; No-shows, early departures, or cancellations after the arrival date are not entitled to a refund; If you do not arrive at the campsite by 12pm the day after scheduled arrival and does not cancel the reservation, will be charged a $20 service fee and forfeit the first-night use fee
