We loved this campground! We tent camped three nights in the reservable loop mid—July with our 3 and 5 year old. There are some really beautiful views of the mountains in some of the sites, and some of the sites have little trails where you can walk a short distance to access the river. There is also a spot where everyone can access the river. The river edge we saw was rocky with current, so not really safe for kids to play in but nice to splash around a bit and some Sandy areas where kids could play. The camp hosts were very kind and helpful. There was water at this campground when we stayed. There are flushable toilets and and sinks- no showers. The bathrooms were clean! It is only about a five minute drive from the quarry visitor center, which was really nice because we ended up going back to look at the visitor center displays and the quarry hall a couple times each day.

Camp hosts very kind. Was surprised they offered Junior Ranger at the campground. In general very personable.

Quiet campground. SItes reasonablt spaced. Host is avtive and on his game with enforcing the rules. SItes were level for RVers.

Loved the campground, but it was hotter than... heck. Honestly the generator hours made sense once I found out Dinosaur National Monument is an International Dark Style Park (meaning no light at night so you can star gaze!), but it was too hot to stay in the campground without air flow. The host was amazing and the grounds were clean and tidy. Would stay there again if it weren't 100+ degrees.

Nice campground, although the sites are kind of too close. We also happened to visit when the queen ants were doing their “nuptial fights” and there were ants everywhere we could possibly stake our tent. The bathroom is really small - two stalls is good, but one sink is not enough and when the door is open, impedes on the space to get into the stalls. It was great having the water fountain and spigot though!

Happened to get a spot without much shade so did bake a bit but overall the location was beautiful and close to lots of sites.
