Very large campsite and very clean. Pretty quiet especially at night. Even when it was busy you're not up against neighboring campsites. It's We spent 6 nights there. If you like like hiking, biking, fishing and astrophotography....and also dinosaurs, this is a perfect place! My wife and I road bike and the dinosaur quarry is only 5 miles. You can head the other direction for beautiful views of the river valley for about 2-3 miles or so. The dinosaur museum/quarry is fascinating. The surrounding trails are very well marked and the scenery is amazing. For those fishing I caught a couple channel catfish right there at the campsite! Decent size. Finally for stargazers the area is designated a dark sky park. Looks like about a Bortle 2+ there. Overall very nice and the campers are pretty respectful with respect to outdoor lighting at night. 5 star experience for sure. If you have young kids or even if you don't, you need to go here!

Great campsite by the river. Nice views of the Rock formations at the heart of the park. Would recommend selecting a site with near the trees during the summer if available.

This was a nice, quiet campground. The weather was hot and windy in June, but the nights were comfortable and the stars were amazing.

This campsite was mostly shady with easy access to the restrooms and water. The many cottonwood trees were filled with birds. Views of the river are just steps away.

The ancient cottonwoods provide cool shade. The river is handy for a dip. the Quarry is a must-see every time.
The toilets are maintained, and fresh water is available.
Dark skies! and Milky Way! Don't forget to get up and go out in the dark!
