WARNING: NO tank dump or water hookup as of August 2022! Great site otherwise. Beautiful setting. Don't miss the drive to the old gal's cabin and the box canyon nearby. Dinosaur quarry was very interesting.

What a little gem this is! It was a couple minute walk to the water, which was fine. Restrooms were easily accessable, as were the water spigots. Lots of brush around the sites gives it a semi-private experience, and tall trees provide much appreciated shade. The ranger program was great, and only a couple minute walk away.

We stayed in site 18 next to a huge cottonwood tree. The grounds were neat and the bathrooms very clean. They had flush toilets!
There are no dump stations, but on the way out we stopped at Outlaw Trail RV Park in Jensen at the junction of Hwy 40 and for $10, used their facility.

The campsites themselves vary quite a bit in size, privacy and shade (which you'll want on hot days). The area is a dark sky area and you can see many stars and the Milky Way galaxy when the night is clear and moonless. Good campground to stay if you're traveling thru the area. The dinosaur fossil wall in the Quarry Bldg is a must-see experience.
