This was our first trip to this campground. Like so many other campgrounds it is hard to judge what you are selecting based off of the pictures on the reservation site. So we made our reservation 6 months out because we were unsure of the demand for when we wanted to visit. We originally booked site 42 and it was baking in the afternoon sun. Site 30 is full shade and so much better if you are tent camping.
We ended up staying in site 63 which is a first come first serve site. It had great shade but it had two other sites that were in the same opening and were really close.
We probably wouldn't do more than an overnight here in the future because there isn't a lot to do in the park.
On the day we arrive there were some campers that had a chair and their firewood stolen out of their site. Plus some of the RVs want to run their generators after quiet hours. Just be aware.

Dinosaur National Monument is always a good destination and their campgrounds just next to the Green River are fantastic.

The restrooms were in terrible repair and dirty. We did not feel comfortable and left to stay somewhere else.

The campground is ideally located at a reasonable driving distance to the main trails. Restrooms only, no shower. Amazing trees and wildlife ! Do not miss to visit the Colorado part of the park, the view over the canyon is stunning !

This was our second stay at Green River Campground in Dinosaur National Monument. Appreciate the mix of FC/FS and reservation sites. Nice big spaces, many with shade. Beautiful scenery and easy river access. We loved it.

It was what we hoped for. We had good neighbors. Host was kind.

Our original site, 48 had no shade when we arrived. The person next to use was running their generator and was not even around. So we asked the camp host if they had any other options and he suggested site 77, in the fcfs, which turned out to be awesome because there was shade and you could hear the Green River running. My travel trailer (30ft trailer, 20ft truck) fit nicely into pull off with bathroom, water, and dumpster across the road. Beautiful campground, but my only complaint is the generator usage. Yes it is HOT, but if you need to run your AC from 9am-9pm, pick a different campground.

Sites are decent size but shade availability varies. Lots of critters and secure food and garbage storage is needed. The host was only interested in policing whether an extra car was in the driveway of one of our collective sites and the letter of the 2 vehicle “law” but in two nights didn’t clean the bathrooms once even after alerting the need for more toilet paper. We were across the road from our other site we reserved together and had her creep up in the golf cart 4 times to speak us with some non issue complaint of parking or leaving a site which we were clearly walking between. It was extremely bizarre. Beautiful monument that we felt rather targeted and unwelcome in.

Quiet campground. We had trees all around which was nice. Basic amenities but this was sufficient for us.
