I generally don't like to pick campsites based on maps and a site photo on a website, but that seems to be the reality nowadays. The campground is nicely situated. I feel the restrooms could be improved though (based on the one located near my site). The TP roller placed behind the toilet makes for an uncomfortable reach back. The stall had been removed, so now only one person can use the bathroom at a time. The room was not as clean as it could have been compared with others I used during my teo week trip to CO and UT.

Spots were level. Some shade. Not in walking distance to the museum. Water was available. No dump station

Very nice Place with a lot of shadow. The Trail starts directly behind the park

It was a little confusing trying to figure out the sites on line - the "drive through" description was different, so we decided we'd take a chance on finding a site once there. Loop A and B, each site had "reserved" site on the site number which initially made it think it was already taken just not checked in yet which was had us concerned until we checked the app - and found the majority were still available. Loved also being able to check in and pay for the site on line. Loved the site and the night sky and the distance between sites. Didn't check out the bathhouses and had two bars of ATT cell.

Very nice spot, close to restrooms and river access. Shaded in afternoon which was quite welcome.

A small number of late arrivals (after 10:00 p.m) interuppted the peacefulness of this campsite. One happened to land next to my site. They set up tents, chopped firewood and did not follow quiet hours protocol. Otherwise this was a beautiful site.

The campground is quiet and dark-perfect for good sleeping and amazing stargazing. There were no camp hosts this late in the year, but we didn't need to contact them this trip. The views are lovely and we enjoyed hiking and biking in the park. Definitely will return!
Know that some sites have better shade than others, if you need that. We were fine without.

An OK campground. Open, but private. Well-space sites.
