Sites are spacious and flat. Super quiet and well maintained. On site hosts are taking good care of this CG. Scenic location. It’s along the river but the river is not generally visible from campsites. It’s quite a drive to get to so come well supplied. We’d enjoy returning in cooler weather.

This is a nice campground overall, and site A5 is not a bad site (not completely private, but not completely exposed either. It's a little brushy, on the river, near bathroom and water, but doesn't have any shade, and on a late May afternoon, it was hotter than the sun (so hot that I only stayed one night rather than the two I had reserved). However, there are a couple of easy access points in the campground for the river (better than the access at my site). It is a well-kept and quiet campground even when full, there was a ranger talk on bats, and the variety of nearby hikes and the dinosaur wall visitor's center are great. I enjoyed my visit but for the heat and would come back, though a bit earlier in the spring.

Campground was clean and the sites were easy in and out. The bathrooms were clean but needed some repairs. Some shade would have been greatly appreciated.

Very pretty campground and this site was very nice. Lots of shade and space. Perfect to pitch a tent. Bathrooms are super close but they were never noisy. Not close to the river but you can still hear it.

We were only there for a night but cannot wait to go back to spend more days there to explore the trails. The campsite is very nice with the most beautiful views no matter which site you camp in. Highly recommend staying for a clean campsite and exploring the outdoors!

We have a 10x20" tent for our family, so I avoided the sites that specified "small tent" in their descriptions. The one we ended up with could have accommodated our tent in two different spots, I think. At any rate there was plenty of room. We got there late enough that my husband was setting up with the assistance of the car headlights plus a headlamp that was swarmed by mosquitos and other small insects - but this is by the river, so O well. We just made sure to keep lights off inside the tent until everything was zipped up. Our spot was also only two spots away from the bathrooms, which were clean enough by camping standards and also provided water sources for drinking and washing up.
If anyone actually reads these reviews... a note to the conscientious: there are instructions about washing dishes. You're supposed to get water at the tap and then take it back to your site to wash up, and then strain it and throw the solids into the big bins before pouring the grey water into the drain at the foot of the tap. I had no idea and hadn't brought an extra container with me, so I just had to strain my dishwater through a thin towel (NOT a paper towel) right over the drain grate. At least no one else was wanting to wash up just then.
The hike along the Green River is fun. We only went a little way because we had lots of short legs and were anxious to get off to the dinosaur fossils, but it was good to explore.
