Nice campground on the Green River. There isn't a beach like Split Mountain but it's conveniently near there and also Cub Creek and Box Canyon.

We had site B28, which easily accommodated our 34' fifth wheel. The scenery and wildlife were enjoyable. Of course, we visited the quarry and the petroglyph site - very interesting. The hiking trail up the river offered some great views. Enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Sloppy Pig Shack in Vernal. Highly recommend this campground!

Cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen at a campsite!

Clean. Quiet. Beautiful. Lacks a little in privacy for the spot we had. It’s difficult to tell where your campsite is when reserving.

A pleasant oasis with trees and green growing things. Even without safe swimming the Green River is a pleasant place to sit on the bank and take it all in.

Nice campground. Right on the river. No hookups but potable water just outside the restrooms. Not much shade, so it gets warm in the afternoon, but cools off at night (early June). Great location for access to the western side of the park. Would definitely go again.

Stayed in 47 B with 24 foot rv. Accidentally went to group campground first and were blown away by how cool it was. So this campground seemed a bit less impressive after that. The river sites had pretty views, campsite seemed spacious enough. Good birdwatching here and lizards everywhere!

The campground was fine and the mountains and river were stunningly beautiful. Only complaint was some clueless RV running their generator at 2 AM. I told the ranger the next morning and she promised she would inform them. Not the campground's fault.

Underrated park!
Bring your bikes because the most fun my kids had was biking from the campground to the visitor center and to hikes. We did 30 miles in 2 days.
Campsite was great, semi shaded, easy to setup starlink if your like me and working on the road. Backing in a camper, you will have your door on the wrong side... Just a heads up, was not an issue.

The campground is well run and well maintained. It’s very popular, was packed when we were there in June with temperatures in the 90’s. Not far away are wonderful petroglyphs and hikes. Visit the Quarry exhibit!!
