The campsite was well-maintained, but I am rating it Fair because just across the river is what looks like a farm and junkyard, and there are a few dogs there that were left out and barked CONSTANTLY all night long. From where we were camping, it was so loud and miserable. I told the ranger at the visitor center and said it’s private property and free shrugs. Just don’t stay next to the river and it might not be so bad.

Peaceful campsite with great view of Split mountain. Only problem was the loud group of rafters next to our campsite the first night. Otherwise a great experience.

The campground had everything we needed. Being by the flowing Green River was a treat.

Temp in the 90’s and not as enjoyable when tent camping. Our site was far from the bathroom and could not go through other campers site; therefore had to go around. Close to the visitors center/quarry which was an awesome experience!!

Always enjoy our visits. Would be nice to select a campsite upon arrival.

Nicely situated campground. Most campsites seem to have enough shade to fend off the heat. Bathrooms were a bit primitive, but clean enough.

Only negative was the lack of shade. We had a tent style canopy which helped.

It was very hot and Generator hours were limited. Unfortunately, our site had no shade. It was a fairly miserable experience for a camper stay.

Green River Campground at Dino NM is one of my favorites! The views of Split Mountain are very nice and the campground is well-maintained. There is minimal light pollution, making this a great place for stargazing. However, on this most recent stay there was a considerable amount of noise from the farm across the river, which is outside of the monument boundaries. Guard dogs were barking throughout the night and it was hard to get a good rest because of the noise.

I had a great site with shade from two cottonwood trees. Not all the sites have shade, so I was lucky to get this one. One morning while I had coffee I enjoyed watching all the birds, chipmunks, lizards, and a rabbit that were foraging around my campsite. I like hiking the trail that goes to the Split Mountain campground. I have been to this campground multiple times and it is one of my favorites.
