We had a nice campsite with some shade and the Green River was a short walk away.
It can be very hot in late spring, summer.
The Dinosaur National Monument Quarry Exhibit is a great place to see dinosaur fossils.

We camped in site 6. The area was pretty good! Our site didn't have any shade though, and had we been camping in a tent our site didn't seem to have a good tent pad. Since we were car camping that wasn't an issue. The flushing toilets were an added bonus and clean. The women's side had 2 stalls and a sink with hand soap. Would camp here again!

Nice location next to the river. No hookups so can be hot in summer.

Green River campground has a lovely setting in a cottonwood grove along side the Green River. If you want shade, pick your campsite carefully. Campsite one had good shade all day.

This is a beautiful campground with lots of cottonwoods for shade (critical in the summer!). We ended up leaving early because it was too hot for us and our pup mid June (95 degrees by 11 a.m.). We're tent campers so there was no way to escape the heat. We also found out that dogs are not allowed on the river. We knew about the trail limitations for dogs, but didn't know about the river before arriving. Bathrooms have running water and there is a nice amphitheater by the river where you can watch the farm animals across on the other bank. Lots of wildlife - both at the nearby sheep farm (yes, you can hear them) and in the park itself. Worth seeing, but would probably go back in the fall or early spring without our dog.

Campground was a great location to visit Dinosaur National Monument. It was hot and dusty though. Not much vegetation/grass in campsites. There were some trees that helped provide shade for a small part of the day.

It was a nice campground. It was on a Monday so it was not crowded and is close to Quarry Exhibit Hall. The birding was great!

Campsite was not at all satisfactory; we didn't stay. No trees too exposed and too close to other sites. Went to Red Canyon, much better
