What Guests Are Saying
Lost Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful surroundings, clean facilities, and excellent camp hosts. Visitors enjoy great fishing, easy access to nearby lakes, and a peaceful atmosphere with ample privacy. However, some have noted issues with the glamping tents, generator noise, and occasional trash overflow, which may detract from the experience.

The glamping tent was clean and comfy including two full size beds, a chair, small end table and lantern. Only a few sites are right on the lake (#6 & #7) but they are both right across from the road and the day-use area which can get loud. The lake was lovely for SUPs and kayaks and fishing, not great for swimming though, it had a lot of algae so your hair and skin smelt like algae when you got out. A little creek runs through the whole campground which is great if you have little ones who want to play in the water and build dams. There is a water filling station at the entrance of the campground. The hosts, Jamie and Randy, were super nice and accommodating.

Site 30 states it will fit a 30 ft trailer, this is false. I have a 24ft trailer that is really 26ft and this site is very difficult to back a trailer in, because there is boulders along the road that you hit as there is no room. If there was no boulders this would make an easy back in, but no lets just put boulders here to do possible damage. This is very well known as the camp host drove by later and stated good to see you got your trailer in there. The one of the most negative and is a real safety issue is the pads that were poured. There is a massive drop off on all of the edges which I spoke to the camp host about as well. My wife came out of the trailer the next morning and forgot, and she fell off the edge, which lead to a sore ankle and some scrapes on her arm. This campsite has a broken grate on the fire pit, so bring your own BBQ. What a joke. The trash on all of the sites where overfilled for two days, as there was trash outside of the 4 trash cans for 2 days. Hmmm bear country. There needs to be better management over these camp sites. Oh the pot holes are wonderful.

Beautiful campground and pristinely maintained!
Lost Creek Campground is likely one of the best in the Uintas: running creeks run along several sites and each site provides plenty of distance from others - complete with beautiful tree coverage - making for a quiet and serine camping environment. For tents, most sites include level soft dirt pads for 2-3 tents and all sites feature a picnic table and well-positioned fire pit. For hikes, Lost Lake is only a 5 minute walk away and the campground is central on the Mirror Lake Senic Byway - making for a perfect basecamp for Unita day trips!
The campground fills up quick - even during weekdays - so reservations are a safe bet against first-come/first serve.

My family and I decided to go camping for the 4th of July weekend. We were very surprised to be able to reserve a spot in this campground just days before the busiest camping weekend of the year. The campsites and facilities were very clean. The lake was a short walk away and the trail was not hard to find. The hosts were very friendly and prompt when we needed something. Our only issues were the toilet paper seemed to always be out and the road needs attention at every water crossing. All in all we had a great experience and will definitely come back, hopefully closer to the lake next time.

empty campground week before labor day. Asphalt pads, some not level. Quiet, space between sites. Recommend.
