What Guests Are Saying

Washington Lake Campground is highly praised for its beautiful location, excellent access to hiking trails, and well-maintained facilities. Camp hosts are friendly and diligent, contributing to a clean and enjoyable camping experience. While some sites are close to the lake, there are concerns about noise from generators and the lack of running water; however, the overall ambiance and recreational opportunities make it a preferred destination for many campers.

I went to Washington lake well before camping sites were developed. It’s beautiful and we very much enjoy going.

We accessed the lake near a campsite on the other side of the loop from ours. We asked the people at the site if we could park there for a bit while our kids played at the lake. They were fine with it, but the camp host said that they'd be charged an extra vehicle fee. I found that a ridiculous requirement since we had already paid for our own site. We had to tote our little kayaks all the way from our site over to the lake.
We were also camped next to "Ken" who was certain our 2 6 year old kids were going to cause some sort of mayhem. When you get old people, try not to become a "Ken" or a "Karen".
We loved everything else except the bugs. Kids had a great time.

Beautiful area. Camp spots are great. Bathrooms are fine. Small issue with cattle in area but camp host was very good trying to herd them away.

The bath rooms were not very clean.
The Camp Host would just use a very wet and stinky mop around the toilet and it would always be really wet around the toilet so you shy away from the restroom.

We had an amazing time at Washington lake. The close proximity to Crystal Lake and Trial Lake make for great nature walks and beautiful photo opportunities.
The camp ground is clean, and sites are spacious. Every site we saw also had a convenient tent spot.
One night was very stormy with lots of rain, thunder and lightning. The next morning the camp host knocked on our door to make sure we were okay.
We definitely will be going again!!

Washington Lake is very popular in spite of having to bring your own water. With lots of trails and a beautiful lake, it's obvious why. Also, the host was great at keeping the restrooms stalked with toilet paper and doing a daily cleaning.
