What Guests Are Saying

Washington Lake Campground is highly praised for its beautiful location, excellent access to hiking trails, and well-maintained facilities. Camp hosts are friendly and diligent, contributing to a clean and enjoyable camping experience. While some sites are close to the lake, there are concerns about noise from generators and the lack of running water; however, the overall ambiance and recreational opportunities make it a preferred destination for many campers.

Beautiful and well maintained campground with great hiking and paddleboarding right from our site. We did have afternoon showers most days, but the mornings and evenings were beautiful and clear.

The surroundings are beautiful, but with this year's campground happenings we may not go again.

It was 100+ degrees in the Salt Lake valley and we went up to Washington Lake in search of cooler weather. We got it! One day was even rainy with highs in the 50's. It was a busy weekend with lots of people seeking refuge from the heat and the camp host monitored the entrance to make sure there wasn't a bunch of traffic going though the small campground. This was our second summer spending a weekend here and I hope our family can return next summer.

Been camping at Washington Lake since I moved to Utah in 2010. It is a great place, but toooooooooooo many people have discovered it. Too many people driving in, dropping off kayaks, paddleboards, etc, going to find somewhere to park, and then getting on the lake. Hard to fish (I troll from my kayak) when so many other people that don't have a clue paddle where ever without watch for the line trailing behind my boat.

Beautiful lake with so many opportunities for kayaking, fishing and hiking. It is a very popular destination and reservations are ridiculously difficult to get.

Washington Lake is so beautiful. The sites are very clean and easy to access. The weather is awesome. So nice to get out of the heat in the city. We love it up there.

Sites are close together, but it didn't both me. We had a great site on the outside of the loop; worked great for us. Of course the lake spots are prime, but it also means a lot of foot traffic right behind your site (beach & hiking trail). Bathrooms were ok. Paved loop - nice for the younger kids. Will stay here again, hopefully.
