White House Campground offers a beautiful, quiet setting with lovely views and convenient access to hiking trails like the White House trail and Nautilus. The campground features well-maintained sites, though it's small and can fill up quickly. While the payment process can be cumbersome, especially with the QR code method, the overall experience is enjoyable, making it a desirable spot for campers looking to explore the area.

There are two ways to claim a camp spot once you arrive (first come first served). One, if you have cell service (maybe Starlink), you can take a photo of a QR code on the entry sign and then follow the instructions, claim a campsite that is available, pay the fee, and camp. Easy! The 2nd method is to use a machine they also have there that requires no cell service. You pick an empty campsite, choose it on the monitor, then pay (using your phone Apple Pay as one payment option).
I tried the 1st method since I had cell service. I claimed site #6, paid, and it showed me as confirmed for campsite 1. That site already had someone in it. I thought I had made a mistake so I did it again with the same result. So I paid twice and didn’t get confirmed for the correct site.
Then I switched to the other machine and it worked great. IN summary, I had to pay 3 times for the campsite. Don’t use the QR code service!!!!
Camp site was great. It was perfect access to White House trail and on to Buckskin Gulch!!

Great location. This is a wonderful, small campground. Level spots with beautiful views. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. Great fun hiking the riverbed or exploring around the base of the rock formations.

The gravel road leading to the campground is washboard rough but perfectly accessible in the dry conditions we experienced. The campground is small and was surprisingly busy. We arrived by 1:00 pm and there were only 3 of 7 drive up sites available. By 4:00, all but one were occupied. There are 4 walk in sites that look nice for tent campers. Two of those 4 were occupied on the night we stayed. If the campground is full for drive ups, it would be possible to park in a walk in site for overnight use I think, assuming the rig is not oversized.

The pay station (digital) did not provide any printed receipt to place on the post. People were using the day-use permit tags and/or paper plates on their posts. Camping fees were $12/night plus $1 fee on the Recreation.gov site. All sites are FCFS. The America the Beautiful pass is not accepted here for camping discounts. The Interagency Pass and military pass are accepted. These passes are only helpful for discounts or day use. They are not required for camping. The campsites are very nice. Fairly level, large and lovely views of rock formations and the adjacent wash. The campground has vault toilets in decent shape. Potable water is not available at the campground but is available at the start of the dirt access road.

The White House trail offers a very good hike through the wash and some canyon. It is a backbacking route but can be made as long or short as desired as an out and back. There is another shorter trail from the campground called the Nautilus. It is highly rated. We did not have time to hike it.

Overall, we enjoyed this campground and will definetly visit again when travelling the area.

Very quiet location and right along the Paria Canyon Trail head. Only one other person the night I was there. Not intended for trailers or big rigs. My lifted camper van did just fine.

Beautiful setting in a small campground. Good facilities but be sure to bring your own firewood! Great walk down the river as well.
