Love the river nearby to play in. Hated the road noise at night. Major need for the roads to be redone. Tolerable flush restrooms. All in all 4 stars but needs some work.

Great access to day hike (Wind Cave Trail). Access to nice trail for the evening (Riverside Nature Trail). My campsite and Riverside Nature Trail both provided convenient river access for fly fishing. Campground was quiet and had many favorable locations for getting drinking water. Beautiful scenery every direction I looked.

Water was cool and clean, the restrooms well-kept. The tables could use a lick of paint and one of them had a weird hole in it that looked like somebody tried to fill with plaster, but it was falling apart. Still usable, however! We were in Group Site A and it has a wonderful open field to play in and plenty of room for tents. There's a little stream to the side that kids can splash around in if they want.
