Always a good place for our first trip of the summer. Close to town in case anything is needed. Lovely campground.

Whiting Campground is praised for its cozy, shady atmosphere and well-maintained sites, making it a great spot for camping and hiking. Many visitors enjoyed the privacy of the campsites and the friendly camp host, who provided firewood delivery. However, the lack of potable water and issues with some facilities, such as poorly maintained picnic tables and vault toilets, were noted as drawbacks.

Great campground. Nice shade. Good facilities. Sometimes it can be difficult to maneuver a larger RV. We make sure we drop the towed vehicle before we enter the campground. The water system was not working yet. Not sure what the problem was. It’s the first time we’ve been here and it wasn’t working. Fortunately we had plenty of water in our holding tank. The camp host was friendly and helpful.

Site 1 was not ideal. There was a popular trail that ran through our campsite and early morning joggers and bikers woke us up. The bathroom was locked, and the port-a-potty’s were across the canyon road.

The campsite was ok. There are some issues that need to be addressed, no water, too close to town posts a busyness that camper would like to avoid. The camp host was very helpful and friendly. One thing you need to aware is, do not leave any foods out, the ground squirrels will dig through your box or container to get to your food.

We stayed in site 6. We have Verizon cell service and there was a weaker signal, but strong enough we could text and see emails. The trees are so full and add a little to making sites feel private. Overall the campground was well maintained, host was friendly and our trailer fit great in our site.

Very scenic and peaceful campground. The kids enjoyed playing in the dry creekbed (the one benefit of a drought I guess). The trail that starts in the campground is phenomenal.

Very nice stay. We were pleased it was not too crowded, that may have been due to the fact that there was no water available. Hopefully the water system can be fixed.
We were pleased that we could buy firewood from the host; he even delivered it to our site, thanks.
