Super nice campgrounds! I loved show shaded the campsite is and a majority of the campsites are from what I saw. There isn’t really anything to do in whiting. I would suggest bringing activities to pass time or bring other people because camping is always fun when there’s more! There was a trail right behind our campsite that people were waking up early to jog/walk. Which was a little bit annoying just because it would be 6 AM and I’d be woken up by joggers having loud conversations. But other than that it wasn’t too bad. Unfortunately there was no running water the dates that I was there so the nearest bathrooms were closed. The closest outhouse we had to drive to every time we wanted to go because it was a bit far from our campsite. Our mistake was probably getting campsite number 1 lol it was right next to the camp host. It wasn’t bad it was just far from the bathrooms and the there were loud joggers. But other than that it was a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely come again!

First time camping and it was a good place to start. Loved that the location was close to the bathroom (but not too close) picnic table and fire pit were in good condition

Joe is fantastic!
Our only complaints where:
1- Our neighboring campsite stayed up laughing and talking loudly until after 2:30am one night... kept us awake. Likely rookie campers and did not know about the noise curfew.
2-Whiting needs to empty the trash container more often or get a larger container/bin! That was a stinky overflowing mess!

We camped in groupsite B The campsite was fine the camp host was good and accomadating. The only problem was there was no water and no indication we wouldnt have water on the website or the Email they provided to prepare for our trip the only thing it said was there was no hookups and you could not hook up trailers to the spigots implying that the spigots had water for other purposes, because of this we had to go down the canyon to get jugs of water for camp clean up purposes it was definatly inconvinent. We also ended up having to share our 2 stall bathrooms with Group site A the last couple of days because their bathrooms were locked and they had 200+ campers so it cause a consitant line and inconvience in our camp. We called to have these concerns addressed and they told us the water has not been on for years so there is really no excuse for not informing us of this issue sooner.

From I-15, take Springville exit 260. Head east 2 miles to the intersection of Main Street and 400 South. Turn right on Main Street, staying in the right lane toward Highway 89/Price. Continue 2.3 miles to Maple Street. Turn left on Maple Street/State Highway 147 for .9 miles to Main Street in Mapleton. Turn left on Main Street, then right on 400 North. Drive east on 400 North for 2.7 miles to the campground.

Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Gates open at 7am and close at 10pm; camping only allowed in designated areas; max occupancy is 8 people per site; no generators after 10pm; and various other restrictions apply.
- FF sites are first-come, first-served; reservations for other sites must be made at least 5 days in advance; arrive in person to claim FF sites.
- Visit wildlife.utah.gov for Bear Country info and gocamputah.com/rules for campground rules.
- For more info on the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, call Spanish Fork Ranger District or Utah Recreation; visit gocamputah.com for reservations.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Wildlife & food storage
- Store food and trash securely to avoid attracting wildlife; noncompliance may lead to fines or removal from the site.
Utilities
- Bring all necessary water for your stay, as no water is available on-site; trash must be packed out.
- Trailers, campers, and RVs must arrive with full water tanks; no hookups to spigots or restroom power allowed.
Pets
- Dogs must be leashed (max 6 feet) and cleaned up after; limit two dogs per site, and they must not threaten or damage property.
Safety & rules
- Minimum stay requirements: 2 nights on weekends, 3 nights on holiday weekends.
- Users assume full responsibility for their conduct and any accidents or injuries; Utah Recreation is not liable.
Fees & deposits
- Extra vehicles incur a fee of $10 per day; firewood costs $9.
- Discounted bookings without a Senior or Access pass require payment of the difference upon arrival; proof of eligibility is needed.
Fires & fuel
- Obtain firewood within 10 miles of your destination and burn it on-site to prevent pest spread.
