Summary

AI generated

The Green River Float-in Campsites offer a wonderful experience with great wildlife viewing, including sightings of moose, otters, and osprey. Campsites are generally well-maintained, with clean facilities and good amenities like flat tent platforms and fire pits. While some areas may have issues with vegetation or crowding due to guide permits, the overall beauty and tranquility of the river make it a highly recommended destination for camping and floating.

Camps are falling apart. The bathroom at cotton wood is completely full almost to the rim

My husband, our dog, and myself had a great stay at Big Tree! We were there October 7th and saw river otters and heard beaver tail splashing in the night. The views up and down the canyon are beautiful. It’s a nice a secluded site with 3 separate tent pads (it would be very difficult to find flat ground for additional tents). We’ll be back!

Site was very nice, lots of shade and great tent pads. The walk up to camp from the boats is a little steep but to be expected on a riverside site. Great camp!

The only issue was with the Ashley National Forest. Their website lists that only a few of the camps are reservable. When contacted, they stated that they would fix the problem. Other than that, reservations were easy.
