What Guests Are Saying
Lucerne Campground is praised for its beautiful location, clean facilities, and friendly staff, with many visitors enjoying the scenic views and proximity to the marina. However, recent reviews indicate a decline in maintenance, with issues such as unclean restrooms, lack of staff presence, and inadequate signage for campsite setups. Despite these drawbacks, many long-time campers remain fond of the area and appreciate the natural beauty and spaciousness of the campground.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness and safety of our “apartment” when we stayed. There were multiple sharp metal pieces sticking out of the carpet that we had to cover with our bags so our kids wouldn’t get hurt. The whole place did not appear to be have been deep cleaned in a long time. There were spider webs in the corners of the ceilings in the bathroom and kitchen with spiders in them. We probably killed 10 spiders upon arrival. The dishes, pots and pans were old and handles were broken, making them difficult to use. Overall, the rooms need a major update and a deep clean every once in a while. We didn’t even use the shower/bath in the room because of the cleanliness.
Also, a reminder to bring cash when you arrive would be nice. It was not mentioned in any of the emails right before the trip and we had to go to an ATM. Luckily, we brought our debit card since.

Outstanding, gorgeous, magnificent. These hardly describe how beautiful Flaming Gorge was on our first ever stay. We will definitely be back soon.

This was our 1st time traveling thru this area. The campground was fabulous. Well kept, tidy, lucked out with other friendly campers around. Other campers were very helpful in directing us to grab any site that showed it was open for the night of our stay. Each site was marked with reservation dates clearly, so it was easy to select a site. Since the site we booked online was in a section that was closed for the season. Would have save alot of initial worry on our part if the web site had shown that. Bathrooms were spotless, and the showers had non stop hot water.....which was great! We will not hesitate to stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Flaming Gorge at the Lucerne Campground. This campground is one of the nicest I've experienced. Very well kept. Check in was fast and efficient. There is a store close by for emergency and souvenir purchases. And seeing the wildlife up close was a plus for my niece and nephew just moving to Utah from New Mexico. I will definitely be recommending this campground to family and friends and I will be returning.
