We stayed in Loop B and had an amazing site and all the others looked nice as well. The big rocks provided some shade during the day. The bathrooms were clean and nice. You can also walk to a trail from camp. The best camping experience, so quiet, the dark sky and wildness of the Needles. Highly recommend!

Evening programs were informative and well done by young people. Facilities were kept spotless. Camp host was attentive and friendly. Setting is awe inspiring. Only drawback—as in all campgrounds, a small minority burns wood and pollutes the fresh air. This even happens when it is 80 degrees. This is particularly hard for people with smoke allergies, asthma, or other lung issues. We wish there were wood smoking and non wood smoking campground areas, so the burners could eat, play, rest and sleep in the smoke they love, and the rest of us could breathe fresh mountain air.

More of a remote campground. Nice and private but far from island in the sky.
