What Guests Are Saying

Horsethief Group Sites offer large camping spots with shaded picnic shelters, providing a great balance of remoteness and accessibility to nearby attractions like Canyonlands and Moab. The campground is quiet, with respectful visitors and relatively clean facilities. However, it's important to note that there is no running water on-site, but a spigot is available at the Canyonlands visitor center.

This was exactly as advertised. The dirt road to the site might be a half mile. The pavilion is a good size. There was enough room for a few trailers and trucks. It was clean. The vault toilet could have been a bit cleaner but it didn't smell too bad.

This group campsite fit our needs perfectly! The facilities are new and comfortable, and the outhouses were the cleanest I have ever seen.
The location was also convenient for doing things all around the Moab area, while the elevation gain (the campground is at approximately 5800 feet) was sufficient to provide cooler nighttime temperatures during our midsummer stay, and to provide some green vegetation to add to the scenery.
The description of the site said there was not room for a utility trailer in our site, but in reality there was PLENTY of room for our large utility trailer, along with our 6 cars and trucks.

Awesome Group Sites. Super close to Islands in the sky and Deadhorse. Also close to hiking, biking, and 4x4 trails. Clean, including pit toilets which are kept in good condition.

A very nice campsite but seemed a little small for a group site.

We spent 2 nights at the camp site in mid-May and it was great. The toilets were clean and well stocked. This was a great spot from which to access Arches, Canyonlands and Dead horse point.

We had just completed three days on the White Rim Road and Horsethief was the perfect location to wrap up our drive. We were eight vehicles and two trailers and we fit comfortably in our spots.
