We love this camp ground and have been here several times. It's a great place to watch sunrises, sunsets and the stars. We also love the hike to the waterfall. Come prepared with water. Unfortunately camp host was not available and the QR codes to check availability didn't work because the internet was too slow out there.

I know the campground can’t control the weather BUT it’s set in a wind tunnel. Our site (11A) is situated below the gravel road which is more like a dust/dirt road. Continuous wind the entire stay. Inside of our tent covered in sand/dirt as were we, wind blowing our tent down onto our bodies while attempting to sleep. It was so bad, we packed up after one night and left. Wasted money on the second night but got a much better sleep in the car a couple hundred miles down the road. I’ve spent a couple hundred nights out camping and endured some wild weather. But this site is situated in a wind tunnel with a road that does zero favors to the campers downwind of it. The campers next to had a camper they stayed in and were sick of the dirt and sand blowing inside their sleeping quarters as well. On the other side of us, a family of four had their tent break from the wind. There were no storms present during our stay. Camp at your own risk, and don’t sleep on the ground level…
Coming from an Eagle Scout that never leaves reviews, and hates wasting money. Take that as you please.

Nice location, but a little out of town, which is what we prefer. Lake and stream short hikes right from the campground. Sites very open, no shade and can see everyone else at the campground as no trees. Bathrooms clean and tidy with supplies. Trash removal seemed to be non existent as large dumpster was overflowing. Can get very windy with blowing sand. There is fishing at the lake but need Utah fishing license so we did not fish. Easy access for National Parks and short trips to Moab for food/drink etc.

No running water. Expensive. Camping sites on outer ring considered too small.

We were late on getting a reservation and didnot get a good campsite like we usually do. We were in 22 and the constant traffic of the side by sides and the dust they created on the access road was overwhelming. We probably won’t return to Ken’s Lake. As bicycle riders it once was a wonderful place to base many bike rides.
