Loop A is very windy most afternoons. The view from the site is beautiful. Pit toilet was clean, no available water is one down side of the camp ground. Nice hiking trails around the lake.

Didn't get in until late in the evening. Had been traveling 20 hours by that point, set up camp, and ready to get dinner going when we found out the closest water source was back like 20 minutes drive from where just came from. That would have been nice to know earlier...there was zero indication this was the case in any email or on the web page about the campground. The only indication is that is no water or electric hookups....that's a far cry saying there is not any water available along with instructions on where to fill up.
So next, the campground map sends you to a location with seemingly a water fountain to supply water. Would have been better to know there is a nice spring coming out from a rock located 100 yards further along Rt 128. Finally, the campsite is located on a reservoir...and they can't provide water?! A classic SMH at government inefficiencies.
Otherwise enjoyed our two nights although the winds never relented and it was cold, rainy and even snowy in mid-April. I did not fully prep the kids for that weather..but that was user error. The La Sal loop road to Castle Valley and Negro Bill's Canyon was a spectacular drive. Faux falls was nice local stop as well. Views from our campsite were amazing. Enjoy a lot out on Potash and Kane Creek Rds...but was glad to spend our final night camping in Moab on the Colorado River.

This campsite offers gorgeous views of the mountains, lake, and red rock walls. Each site was spacious and have well maintained fire rings for enjoyment. Great for bike riding around the camping areas, off-roading access and leisurely hiking to the lake. It was a wonderful experience for us and our dogs.
