What Guests Are Saying
The Yellowstone Group Campground offers a private and safe environment, making it ideal for families, and guests appreciate the beautiful mountain scenery. However, there have been communication issues regarding recent changes, such as the installation of an unserviced outhouse and the removal of garbage collection, which affected some visitors' experiences. Despite these challenges, many families still enjoy their time at the campground and plan to return.

Communication to me regarding the changes made to the campground has been very poor and the service because of the cutbacks affected our stay. They installed an outhouse in one of the main camp areas, leaving 3 spots rather than 4. That outhouse was not serviced with toilet paper, but luckily we had some in our trailer. There is no longer any garbage collection bins which means that we had to haul out our own garbage and there is a herd of cows that are able to come right into the campground leaving cow pies all over the campground. We have been coming up to this area for 58 years so these changes should have been communicated to us prior to our stay. We have a Golden Passport that is not accepted in the group area which means our campground in twice as much as the camp spots below. We received several reservation reminders about our stay, which is very helpful, but no where in these reminders did it advise us of the changes and the website specifically says that one of the amenities is garbage collections. This whole experience was very frustrating.

Our family loves this camping spot! Tucked back in so that it is quite private and safe from other traffic makes it the perfect spot for our littles to be safe. We left our spot early this year because a really bad micro burst wind storm came through. A tree fell right where one of our vehicles had been parked. Thankfully it wasn’t still there at the time! Then as we left, another tree fell and blocked the road to leave. One of our strong teenage grandsons got out and moved the tree out of the roadway so we could pass. But other than that we had an awesome time and enjoyed the beautiful mountains. A great place to go for a larger family group. Will go again sometime.

Wish they would change the faucet connection on the group campground like the one down below so it would be easier to fill our tanks. Also it would be nicer if they didn’t have so many cows running wild to prevent cow pies in the campground.

Everything about this campsite was wonderful. We have come to this site for the last two years and just love it! We also enjoy seeing the cows, they are such peaceful animals. This year there were not as many as in the past and we really did miss them. We are not bothered by their presence at all. The restrooms were kept very clean and we just had a truly enjoyable stay.

We have been camping in this area for 55 years and we love it up there. Although the weather was pretty crappy the week we were there, the most frustrating thing was the cattle that they allow to roam right through our camping spot. We continually had to scare them away and then they were right back the next morning right next to our trailers. Very frustrating not to mention all the cow pies that were all over.
