Yellowstone Group Campground features exceptionally clean facilities and a peaceful atmosphere, with beautiful surroundings and convenient amenities like pre-stacked firewood and delicious water. However, recent communication regarding changes has been poor, leading to frustrations over reduced services, such as the lack of garbage collection and toilet paper in the new outhouse. Longtime visitors expressed disappointment over these changes and the absence of prior notice, impacting their overall experience.
We have been camping in this area for 55 years and we love it up there. Although the weather was pretty crappy the week we were there, the most frustrating thing was the cattle that they allow to roam right through our camping spot. We continually had to scare them away and then they were right back the next morning right next to our trailers. Very frustrating not to mention all the cow pies that were all over.

From Duchesne, Utah: Take Highway 87 north to Mountain Home, then travel on Uinta and Ouray Indian Reservation Road to Forest Road 131 to Forest Road 119. FR 119 is rough and rocky in places.
The campground is accessible via Highway 87, which connects Duchesne to Mountain Home.
