Beautiful destination- bring your bikes! Paved trail around the lake is easy ride. Gorgeous views, relatively clean toilets, kind hosts and private, shaded camp spots. Really enjoyed our stay. The lake is very low but it was easy to cross. Calm and peaceful location, even though it is a large recreation spot for day use and campground.

We loved the campground! The camp host was super friendly and helpful, the sites were well maintained. No complaints that anyone had control over (the water at the lake was really low).

Our camp hosts Jim and Judy were amazing! They gave us info to find the best places to enjoy the lake and were fun to talk to. The bathrooms were kept very clean.

Payson Lakes is absolutely beautiful! I hadn't been there for about 20 years and it was everything I remember it to be (maybe even better). The lake was somewhat low, but we still had a great time kayaking, and fishing was pretty good. Our campsite in Loop B was awesome. All campsites in that loop seem to be amazing. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars (Excellent) was because for some reason our spot had an abundance of moths - it might have been because we were in a more pine tree dense camp site. Our RV was inundated with them at night and we were swatting moths for about an hour before bed every night. We're not sure if it's just a bad year for moths, but there were also swarms of them around one side of the lake along the walking trail. It seemed like the areas where the aspen trees were, did not have that problem. Other than that, it was an absolutely picture perfect vacation - especially for families. We will definitely be returning.

Our campsite hosts were exceptional. They kept the bathrooms clean and made sure our experience was wonderful. They even brought our grandkids some activity packages that contained crayons and binoculars. A big THANK YOU to them!
