Spruces Campground in Big Cottonwood offers a beautiful and well-maintained setting, with friendly hosts and ample opportunities for outdoor activities, making it a favorite among visitors. Many guests appreciate the clean campsites and the picturesque surroundings, including nearby streams and hiking trails. However, the ongoing lack of running water and functional restrooms, which has persisted for several years, has been a significant concern for many campers, affecting their overall experience.

The spaces were a bit snug and difficult to get into but the campground itself was fantastic. Beautiful, clean and right on the water. We were able to see a few families of moose strolling through and playing on the volleyball court.

Always my favorite place to camp, it’s only 25 minutes to home or the city, even when fully booked you are away from your campground neighbors, and it’s a great place to escape the summer heat of the Salt Lake Valley.

Map wasn't very accurate. We thought the bathrooms would be closer than what they were

Nice site, however only room for a small tent. Fitting 6 camp chairs around the fire pit was really tight.
