What Guests Are Saying
Jordan Pines offers a beautiful setting with clean bathrooms and helpful hosts, making it a pleasant experience overall. While the picnic area can be quite sunny and the parking lot needs improvement, many guests enjoyed the spaciousness and cleanliness of the site. However, potential visitors should consider the limitations for large groups and tent camping options.

Make sure you don't reserve this site on the day of a marathon. Otherwise, the site is pretty much as advertised.

Disappointing Experience — Not Worth the Price
The tables are literally falling apart, with warped boards, splinters everywhere, and peeling paint. Since the tables are the primary attraction of the site, that makes the entire area look neglected and unsafe.

The one star goes to the extremely clean bathroom. Thank you hosts!
This site stressed me out for months when I learned that the tent sleeping area is shared with another large group site. This site should not be for 100 people and the parking lot was near impossible for sedans to get into. The picnic area was full sun for most of the day and so hot in early August.
Beautiful area, water at the site, and we got lucky with nice neighbors but will never book this site for a group again.

The recycled road base in the parking lot was a mess. It was bumpy and uncompacted. It was so poorly compacted that my trailer tire sunk into the road base while parked. While trying to turn around pulling my trailer I actually got stuck. Fortunately I have 4-wheel drive and I was able to pull out of the hole. The parking lot needs to be leveled and compacted. I will say that my younger grandchildren had a great time jumping their bikes over the parking lot bumps. Fortunately none were injured. It was indicated that the site was shaded. The remote tent sites were shaded but the picnic area was in full sun. Overall I would not want to use the facility in the future unless the parking lot was finished. Considering the cost the site could be improved. Thanks for reading my rant.

We hosted a large birthday party at the Limber Grove site, and it was perfect for our needs! The site is well maintained, with plenty of space. The tables are clean, and there is lots of room to put out food and have people sit. The fire pit was in great shape, and the bathrooms were clean. Most of all, the site was absolutely beautiful, and rather private. We had our own parking lot for our guests (and there was plenty of room for cars for 50 or so guests.) Occasionally we'd catch glimpses of the people at the next site over (the two sites share bathrooms), but it felt almost private. A small group also did the Donut falls hike, and it was great to have the site right next to a trail to offer a hiking experience too. We didn't meet the camp host in person, but there was a number listed which we called with some questions and got great support.
Only one note of caution: if you are planning to have a lot of people camp, I'd say there aren't many tent sites at this particular site. For our gathering we had a large party in the afternoon but most people left as it got dark and only a few people camped over, (some in a van) so it wasn't a problem. But walking around I didn't see many good tent sites (a lot of the clearings seemed to be on slopes). There are maybe 2-3 tent sites nestled in the trees and then there would be room for tents in the grass close to the parking lot. But for a true large group tent camping experience, another site might be preferable. The folks next door in the Lodgepole site did not have room for as many cars, but seemed to have room for a lot of tents, and we didn't check out the other sites at Jordan Pines, so this comment is limited to the Limber Grove site.

This was a GREAT group site for a quick trip out of the valley for our visiting student group. Bob was a great, communicative host. He stopped by our site as we were setting up before he had to leave the campground for the day to give us all the information we needed.
Although the post said "no potable water" we did have potable water at the spout (confirmed by Bob) on the day we were there. Check with the host to be sure.
The restrooms were super clean and best maintained vault toilets I have seen in a while. Thanks, Bob! It really makes a difference in helping first-time adventurers feel comfortable.
Our group got to choose their own adventure between Donut Falls trail and Dog Lake Trail. Bring a few shade structures, as we have full sun over the picnic tables from 8am -7pm. The pines provide some shade around the picnic area, so good for hammocks, but no real shade over the tables.
We were surprised to find the very large grill, which I'm not sure was on the amenities on the site listing. So bring your charcoal and you'll be able to feed an army. Unsure if the brick ovens are functional (looked like it needed a clean out, and maybe some maintanance, but would be an incredible additional feature if functioning).

We enjoyed the Pine Grove group campsite. The parking area was large and open, plenty of room to park RVs and camp trailers if thoughtfully arranged. There are plenty of tent sites uphill from the picnic tables, and you could pitch a bunch of tents in the volleyball court too. There's no shelter at all, so bring pop-up shelters for the picnic area if there's rain in the forecast.

We rented this campground for a corporate summer event and it was fabulous! Plenty of space to sit and spread out. The reserved parking area fit everyone and a food truck. It was excellent having the bathrooms right next to our space, and it was perfect being so close to the Donut Falls Trailhead.
The rental process was simple online and the campsite was well-maintained. Would highly recommend! It was a wonderful time!
