Super cute and relatively large area! Feels like a hidden gem as you make your way to guardsman pass. There’s a $15 daily fee.. and they have this amazing intimate amphitheater- we saw a wedding happening there. So pretty!

Beautiful place for a wedding and the picnic area hosts were incredible to work with during the process. Thank you for such a great night!

I had a reservation for the day and my email from recreation.gov said check out time was 10pm. I arrived at 8:30pm with my group of associated who had traveled to Utah from all over the US. We found the gate locked so a couple of us approached the entry area where we could see the camp hosts in their motor home. One of them came out and yelled at us asking us what we were doing there. I explained that I had an email confirmation that showed we could expect to use the site until 10pm. She called her husband out to discuss it further and I tried to show him the reservation on my phone. He dismissed it saying that those were "summer hours" and didn't apply at this point in the season. I tried to explain that the reservation site didn't say anything about "summer hours". He grumpily unlocked the gate and let us in.
It sounds like recreation.gov and the company contracted to run this site need to get in sync. It was embarrassing for my associates to have been treated that way.

I love the recreation area, but the booking process is ridiculous. I tried to cancel and they had changed the policy after I booked (I had the confirmation email proving otherwise) and they still refused all refunds, even thought I was over 90 days out when I tried to cancel. recreation.gov is a glorified cartel.

The camphost was very kind and the area was beautiful! We have stayed at different places and the camp hosts are sometimes very grumpy. Having that kindness went a long way and made a lasting impression on us and our stay. Thank you!!

Really missed having water. It is a nice picnic area with a beautiful creek, EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN'T PLAY IN THE CREEK WHEN IT IS 100 DEGREES OUTSIDE...AND EVEN THOUGH MANY PEOPLE WERE IN THE CREEK ANYWAY, WITHOUT ENFORCEMENT ANYWHERE IN THE AREA.

Loved site 9 as it had two picnic tables. We always enjoy doing some of the hikes/walks around the area.
