A completely horrible experience in 110 degree heat. No shade aside from the metal roofed picnic area that serves as a broiler. No amount of water will prevent heat sickness in this weather.

This is a beautiful campground surrounded by red rock, cottonwood trees and junipers. There is great hiking right from the campground. Only drawback is that there is not much privacy in campsites and the road runs pretty close to the camping areas. Also the bathroom was lacking…..and a fair amount of noise from other campers.

The day use area is interspersed in the campground area. If you leave duing the day, take everything with you. Our rv leveler blocks were stolen while we were away.

Beautiful setting among red cliffs. My site had a covered table, water spigot, fire pit which I didn't use, and was a short walk to the very clean vault toilets. There are easy or long hikes with stunning scenery from the campsites. If you want to sit under a canopy of trees, you can stroll over to the day use area where there are picnic tables, fire rings and grills.
If you can't get a campsite in Zion, this is a good alternative because it's only an hour to Zion. My campground neighbors were doing just that. Plus, its peaceful and quiet here.
