Beautiful campground with deers grazing in the orchards and a tree-lined stream (which makes for nice white noise at night). Campsites themselves feel a bit exposed when in a tent (we were in 069), especially surrounded by RVs - but once the sun is down, there's a cozy, peaceful vibe all around. Really pretty place to wander around, beautiful stars, nice energy. Definitely recommend!

The campsite was wonderful. Would have liked to have showers there, too.

Similar to camping on your own front lawn with a bunch of other people. Campground was very full, no privacy between sites. Campground hosts were friendly and helpful, bathroom was clean.

Beautiful campground. No services other than the washrooms. Very quiet.

The park was beautiful and the camp host was very helpful. They water the camping area so areas that have no grass are muddy. Also our site was on a slope so there was limited space to put a tent. I don't recommend site B41 if you have a tent.

Great Basin is a wonderful park and Fruita is central, but was difficult to get a spot.
Water was mostly shut off - and there are no showers
We were in a tent site, but other vehicles were parking there and some campers who came in late had no where to park - camp host and rangers need to police this better
Tent sites were irrigated - so muddy when we first arrived

It was such a quiet and peaceful campground. We had a herd of deer grazing in the sites and views of horses. Loved every minute of it.

Fruita Campground was super nice...so pretty, lots of shade trees, nice and clean bathrooms, really nice campground hosts, very quiet. The pie and cinnamon rolls at Gifford house were delicious; don't miss out on enjoying those! Scenic drive was closed which was disappointing but we knew that beforehand. Highly recommend hiking to Cassidy Arch. It was beautiful! We also enjoyed the Chimney Rock trail, Hickman Bridge and and Cohab Canyon. Don't miss watching the sunset at Sunset Point! Would love to come back when the scenic drive is open to access more trials. Oh, and the ice cream at Color Ridge Farm in Torrey is wonderful as well...especially after a hike on a warm day.
