About Iron Springs Group Ashley
Iron Springs Group Campground is located approximately 5 mi off U.S. Highway 191, along the Red Cloud Loop Scenic Backway at an elevation of 9.2 ft. Campers enjoy exploring local off-road trails. The Iron Springs Campground Group Sites include both the fenced-in area with picnic tables, and the areas immediately adjacent to site 1 and 2 with a quarter mile for overflow parking. *Please check the NEED-TO-KNOW section to see if drinking water is available at this location*

The ranger checked the toilets the day we arrived. We assumed he had added toilet paper. We ran out the first day and had to call those coming to the site to bring more toilet paper. We had 42 people there and went through a lot of tp. Otherwise, we loved the camp and had a great time!

The campground is accessible via US Highway 191, which is approximately 20 miles to the west.
Policies & Rules
General
- Camping areas are posted as Site 1 and Site 2, please camp in your reserved site. Site 1 is on the west side of the fenced in table area, and site 2 is on the east side of the fenced in area. There is a restroom for each site. The central area with picnic tables and fire rings is a shared space for both parties.
- The reserved camping site includes the dispersed area on either side of the fenced in area (containing the picnic tables, benches, fire rings, and water pump).
- This location has been winterized for the season, there is NO WATER available here until May 2026. Please plan accordingly. Water is typically available at this site from mid-May until mid/late September.
