The Yurt was great to stay in. The road gets a little bit messy the last part up but we were able to make it our Nissan rogue. Everything was clean and very well kept.

We were a little nervous when the lock wouldn't open but it did, I believe it had to be pushed up and then pulled; There has been small green propane canisters in the past for the lantern but there were not any that were full, so plan on taking in your own. A spatula for pancakes is also something you should bring. Last folks who stayed didn't put very many wood pieces inside to be dry and ready for starting the fire. Otherwise it was a great stay, hard hike for the youth, but great for them. Thank you!

Wonderful time in the winter. Would definitely bring some duct tape to fix the windows as they are ripping and let in cold air. Also bring lanterns because it’s pretty dark in the yurt.

My partner and I spent two days at the Limber Flag Yurt for New Years Eve. It was amazing! The yurt was well stocked with fuel: firewood for wood stove, butane for lantern, and propane for large cooking stove. There was a large pot for melting snow, a smaller pot for boiling water, and a cast iron skillet that we cooked NYE prime rib in. Despite the other reviews, the stove gave us no trouble and kept the yurt warm the whole time. No smoke inside at all and we kept it burning at full force the whole time (due to 8 degree temps outside).
Our plan was to do some backcountry skiing, but coverage was not ideal. There was about 12 inches of fresh powder, but no base. On our way in, we skinned up from the E McKee trailhead, which led us up steep although direct route up the NW side of the mountain. This lent to a fun/dangerous/rocky/powdery ski back down on the way out. On our full middle day, we toured up Limber Flag to assess coverage. We decided against any runs down off the ridge, but there were a few fields that were fun to ski through. Overall we had a blast and would love to go back when there is a bit more snow!

Worst experience in my life. There was no access. The road up to the yurt was just one giant mud pit. I could not pass through even in a truck with 4 wheel drive. What a joke. Don't waist your time.
