The water was not working again when we got there and they never said anything about that went they sent out reminder e-mails about the trip and that would have been a very good time to let people know they had no water

The campground managers at Lodgepole were AMAZING so my 1 star review has nothing to do with them. They did everything possible to be helpful and make for a great stay. I reason for the 1 star review is that the National Forest Service has decided to not repair/renovate the bathrooms and instead of at least having vault toilets for people to use they have brought in Porta Potty's which are hot, smell terrible and are not great for use. This has been a problem for multiple years now. In addition to the Porta Potty's there was no water at Lodgepole. I understand that things happen and repairs need to be made but if you are not going to provide WATER and at a minimum vault toilets, you should be charging a much lower fee. The fees are extremely high for the facilities that were provided. Other campground without water will charge $10-$15 per day. Until the National Forest Service decides to repair the facilities, Lodgepole shouldn't be more than this rate. We were lucky enough that they were able to get running water to the dump station by the day we left, so we were able to use that facility, which was great. PLEASE invest in this property, repair what needs to be fixed or LOWER the per night cost to better represent the facilities that are being provided.

Lots of noise all night long. This was posted in the details of the camp site but we didn’t realize how bad it would be. Not a very fun experience to be in nature and still feel like you’re in the city.

Great little getaway. This campground is near a highway, so beware there are car noises. Otherwise pretty scenery. Good for a weekend outing.

Great campground! The sites were spread out, lots of trees and vegetation, flush toilets and clean bathrooms, hiking trail that we used with leaves from the campground which was awesome to hike. You can hear the traffic on the road in the distance.

This was a very nice campground, sites are well spaced, and it’s very scenic. There is a fun trail that starts right at the campground. It isn’t maintained very well, but still manageable. The only drawback of this campground is it’s located right off the highway, so there is noise from the traffic above.
