I really enjoyed my stay here and will return again. The host was very friendly and accommodating. As it turned out my reserved site was next to a loud neighbor, so the host allowed me to choose another site as there were several available. Apart from that one exception, the rest of the campground was quiet and peaceful. It was beautiful, the First Come First Served sites were actually the nicest in my view, more spread out and very private. The vault toilets were surprisingly immaculate as were the grounds. The water service as had been noted was not functional. The campground has no illumination, including toilet areas if that would be of concern. Kayaking, biking, hiking, and other activities are readily accessible and abundant.

The Moosalamoo Campground was exactly as expected. We were looking for somewhere that didn't have all the ameneties but had all the nature. Unfortunately, the water was off, which is only reason i gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
Beautiful Place!!!

Didn’t like the energy. Trails were not inviting. Buggy so bring spray. No water. Would not recommend nor return to camp. Aggressive drivers. Not a good atmosphere. Signage was not good. Middlebury had a nice library and food coop.

I come here for the quiet but several groups were playing talk radio and music from day-night. There should really be a rule for no amplified sound/music. The host was not interested in helping out at all.

Beautiful forested and tidy campground. Private well maintained sites with newer picnic table and space for medium size trailer and larger tents. We had a great experience. It was quiet and just as described. We liked the access to multiple trails without driving. The water is from a well pump which is a little difficult to operate, but the water tastes great and was cold.
Just FYI— there is no firewood for sale on-site. Also, if needed, a RV dump station is about 25 minute drive to the Branbury Lake State Park.
