Great campground. Nice large grassy sites. Lots of the sites are along either Winhall Brook or the West River .Love listening to the sound of the running water. Nice flat trail along West River.

Our first COE experience and truly lived up to our expectations. A great setting and we would go there again if in the area!!

The campground was very clean and quiet. The bathrooms were nice and clean. There was some trash in the fire pit and food scraps tossed into the trees from the last people that camped at my site, but it was a last minute booking.

We had the L-1 shelter spot and it was just perfect to put our tent underneath it! Honnestly we have only good words for this campground. The toilettes where old but clean. A very good point the showers are free and the temperature was perfect.
A very nice stay!!! Definitely we will recommand it!

We stayed in the water/electric hookup section the first night (southern area) and in the dry camping area (northern area) the next 2 nights.
In the southern area, we stayed in S10 which was an end spot and very large. In fact, the spots look large in general at this campground. You're definitely next to people but you'll have a lot of room to spread out. No issues with hook ups. Bridge to get to southern area was narrow but not difficult to navigate in our 25' Class C. Large rigs will definitely have an issue given the turn into and out of the bridge.
In the northern area, we stayed in N34 next to/overlooking where the brook and river meet. This site is in the "grassy area" which is a large circular area of plush mowed grass with several spots and a large open area in the center. Sounds of the brook/river were wonderful all night. And our dogs very much enjoyed the large open space (and the river!). Entrance to river access is a very short walk away from this area (although we were told there was a porcupine who frequented this access area; also a black bear in other spots of the campground).
Camp rangers and staff were extremely nice and helpful on many occasions. Cheap firewood is available there but be advised, it apparently always runs out quick on Sundays! Also look for signs on the road just before campground entrance for free firewood (you can grab as much as you want). Cute playground for kids. No assigned dog area but it wasn't an issue for our 2 β a St. Bernard and Rottweiler. Nice fire rings.
No issues while we were there! Campground was quiet. Nice neighbors throughout. Our only complaint was probably that the shower building in the northern area was one stall on a 5-minute timer. But the dishing washing stations looked very nice.
