What Guests Are Saying
Goose Point campground offers a beautiful, peaceful setting with stunning views of the lake and well-maintained facilities. Campers appreciate the friendly staff, clean restrooms, and well-spaced sites, especially those near the water, making it ideal for families and outdoor activities. While access roads can be steep and winding, the overall experience is enjoyable, with many guests planning to return.

WE never knew about goose point til a friend took my husband back in Dec. to show him a new place we could camp at and he was so inpressed he loaded me and the pups into the truck and took us to see it. We made several trips back during the winter just to walk around with the pups and get them use to the area. reservations had already opened up for some of the months but we were lucky to get 3 days the end of April for our Annv. and than 4 days in May and than weeks for each month the rest of the summer. we were so excited to have this new advanture with our pups. Aprils stay was a little chilly and rained some but we enjoyed being there and couldnt wait for this next one as it would be warmer and a day longer. Unfortunately it didnt turn out to be the fun and enjoyable time we had hoped for. We checked in on Sunday with 2 pups and came home with only one. Our 15 year old took sick early Monday morning and by noon we knew something was terribley wrong and rushed her to the vets, he kept her over nite with IVs and that morning said she seemed to be doing better but that afternoon she crashed and we lost her. He did blood work and xrays and thought it was cancer on her liver, it just all happened so quick. We do have reservations for this coming week and are hoping we will be able to enjoy the beautful area there more than the last 2 times. There was nothing you could have done to make the last time any better and we are so glad we were able to get some memories of her being there at times before she got sick. She enjoyed the walks we took during the winter and we had a fence up around our whole camping area and she enjoyed the freedom of being able to come and go in the camper and lay out in the shade and watch the boats going by. So for those memorys we thank you, I was able to get pictures of my husband walking her for the last walk down by the area they put the boats in and she was laying in the grass there as he went for the truck to take her to the vets

I always enjoy camping at Goose Point. 75%off the activity here is water related. When we camp here we don’t leave the campground during our stay mainly because it is so far from the main road. Everyone prefers camping on the lower loop but the sites are limited and they are all very close to each other.

The road to get to Goose point is very steep, curvy, has a hair pin turn and is very hilly. If you are towing something you should unhook at the bottom and drive separately. The sites however are really beautiful and I’m not sure any of them have a bad view. We were in 19 and it was a little bit sloped downwards but for a campground it was really level. The one trail is very short and mostly paved but you’re close enough to Fairy Stone to go hiking and it’s gorgeous there. The lake is great and gorgeous. The bath house was very clean and the water was hot but it did drain slowly. The dump station was nice though it was up the hairpin turn so a portable waste tank is advisable unless your black tank can hold for the whole time you’re there. The wireless signal is spotty at best but that’s why you camp, right? Overall we loved our stay and the place was really nice.

It’s a beautiful setting and we are definitely returning next year!! I hope you will consider putting trash disposal within walking distance of the campground rather than having to drive to a dumpster and also have a recycling station.
